Obesity Can Kill You In Quite A Variety Of Ways

Posted by on

It’s well understood by now that weighing more than you should, because of eating more calories than you’re burning up, is bad for you — and, the more overweight you are, the worse it is for you. Carrying around a lot of extra pounds is obviously hard on your hard-working heart, and also on your knee joints. But those obvious consequences are only the beginning of a surprisingly large number of obesity-related health ailments, many of which can be fatal:

Health Problems Caused by Obesity

  • Heart disease, of course.
  • Osteoarthritis, of course.
  • Too-high blood pressure, that can lead to a Stroke.
  • Type II Diabetes.
  • High triglycerides, and too much of the wrong kind of cholesterol, in your bloodstream.
  • Gallbladder disease.
  • Breathing disorders, including sleep apnea.
  • Sexual apparatus dysfunctions — men can’t get erections; women’s periods get all messed up, or they even become infertile.
  • Fatty liver disease, not from drinking alcohol.
  • Abdominal hernias.
  • Varicose veins.
  • Abdominal hernias, varicose veins, gout.
  • Kidney malfunction.
  • Cancer, in a very long list of bodily organs. More on this below.

North Americans are apparently getting more obese, although how much more and how rapidly depends upon some assumptions that there’s not enough space here to adequately analyze. We like things to taste sweet, and all too often we use sucrose (table sugar) to excess in our coffee, in our baked goods, and on our breakfast cereals. And then there’s High-Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS), which is widely used to sweeten soda drinks and other consumables because it’s cheap, even though it’s the very worst substance metabolically for your body that’s commonly used as a food and drink sweetener. Diabetics and pre-diabetics, in particular, may need to cut down on all forms of edible sugar, including sucrose, HFCS, fruits and fruit juices, honey, maple syrup, and so forth.

What is Body-Mass Index

Body-Mass Index (BMI) is a rough-and-ready estimator as to whether a person is overweight or obese. It is computed by dividing a person’s weight in kilograms by the square of his or her height in meters. It is computed in the same way using English units, with weight expressed in pounds and height expressed in inches; but the result of that computation must be multiplied by the conversion factor of 705, in order to get the person’s BMI into its standard metric form. Conventional medical wisdom has it that, if your BMI is 25 or less, you’re OK; if it’s in the range of 25-30, you’re overweight but not obese; and if it’s over 30, you’re obese, with some authorities defining successive ranges of increasing dreadfulness for BMIs going onwards higher and higher. However, very well muscled folks, such as bodybuilders, can have high BMIs even though they have just a modest amount of bodily fat.

Note: It is possible for a person to be overweight without indulging in significant overeating if they have an underactive thyroid gland or any one of certain other uncommon medical conditions.

Natural Sweeteners

Many non-caloric sweeteners are now available for you to use in lieu of sucrose: Equal, NutraSweet, Sweet’N Low, and Stevia are very widely available. Each of these has associated benefits and cautions. The sucrose-sugar industry, and some totally natural foods enthusiasts, are violently opposed to all of them on general principles. However, Stevia is a natural substance, produced from the leaves of a South American plant.

Although the cause-and-effect relationship isn’t intuitively obvious, obesity can affect your body’s hormones in such a way that you become susceptible to a variety of cancers — cancer of the colon, rectum, esophagus, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, and/or kidneys in either gender; cancer of the uterus, cervix, endometrium, ovaries, and/or breasts in women; and prostate cancer in men.

If you are substantially overweight, you need to be under the care of a qualified medical practitioner. And, on your own, you can begin taking CLE Holistic Health Naavudi natural blood-sugar medicine for your too-high blood-glucose level, and/or CLE Holistic Health Alistrol natural blood-pressure medicine for your overly high blood-pressure level. Like other CLE products, Naavudi and Alistrol are all-natural herbal supplements prepared from herbs grown organically by CLE on its own farming plots, and harvested and processed entirely by CLE using its own proprietary methods, for very good quality and uniformity control. They are not known to interact with prescription medicines, so you can start taking either or both of them without making any changes in what other medicines you are taking. Naavudi and Alistrol are offered in the form of vegetarian capsules, 550-milligram for Naavudi and 500-milligram for Alistrol. So you can safely give either or both of them a try!
